About Us

Our farm is small, yet bountiful!! It's rich, fertile soil is the perfect spot to grow amazing vegetables. We preserve the integrity of the soil through crop rotation and soil management practices.

The crops are chosen each year based on the most interesting varieties and proven hardiness. Most are old world favorites from Italy, France and Early American Settlers.Typically, all varieties are considered "Heirloom".

While the farm is not "certified" organic we do grow all vegetables naturally and without the use of chemicals. All crops are grown from certified organic seed, organic soil and organic compost.

Our Business

By choosing Bird in a Beehive,  you will be exposed to a wide variety of vegetables and have the opportunity to add them to your list of personal favorites.

Our goal is to encourage the community to eat locally and seasonally -  whether that be in their home, local restaurant, or market.

Shares

The weekly shares contain enough food for a family of four or two vegetarians. Depending on your personal preferences, shares can be altered to contain additional portions of certain vegetables. The cost of the weekly share would change to reflect that addition.

It is best to reserve your share as early as possible. A limited number of home shares are available each year. Shares are sold on a first come, first serve basis.
